GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Evaporative condenser is a heat exchanger for refrigerant or chemicals, and it can condense gas to liquid or just cool gas. So evaporative condenser can be widely used to different projects of refrigeration and chemical industry. Different applications need different types evaporative condenser, such as counterflow type, crossflow type and horizontal type.
We will help to choose the right type for your project.
A. CASEN KEN-COUNTER FLOW TYPE EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER.
The air inlet is in the form of countercurrent air inlet at the bottom, which alternates with the top spray water to form saturated hot and humid air. The heat is discharged by the top fan, so it is called a countercurrent evaporative condenser.
The refrigerant gas discharges from the compressor into the inlet connection of the KEN evaporative condenser. Water from the condenser's sump circulates over the condenser coil, while ambient air is simultaneously drawn the air stream. The evaporative process cools the spray water, which in turn cools the tubes containing the refrigerant gas. The cool tube walls cause the refrigerant gas to give up heat and condense into a liquid. The condensed liquid flows out of the coil, to the high-pressure liquid receiver for return to the system. The hot, saturated discharge air is drawn through the drift eliminators and discharged into the atmosphere. The unevaporated water falls into the basin and recirculates to the water distribution system above the condensing coil section.
B. CASEN KCF-CROSS FLOW TYPE EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER.
The air inlet is in the form of top and side air inlet, which alternates with top water spray to form saturated hot and humid air. The heat is discharged by the top fan, so it is called a cross-flow evaporative condenser.
A cooling coil is installed in the cross-flow evaporative condenser box. The spray water is evenly sprayed on the coil, absorbing heat and evaporating, taking away the heat brought by the refrigerant in the tube. The high-temperature vaporized refrigerant enters the coil from the upper part of the coil. When flowing through the coil, the heat is transferred to the coil. The water film formed on the surface of the coil absorbs the transferred heat, evaporates and is taken away by the circulating airflow of the fan, and the vaporized refrigerant is liquefied again. A water collection tank is set at the bottom of the evaporative condenser. The water that has not been evaporated falls into the water collection tank and is circulated and sprayed again by the water pump. A float is set in the water collection tank, and water will be automatically replenished when the water level is relatively low.
C. CASEN KEH-HORIZONTAL FLOW TYPE EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER.
The air enters from the side and alternates with the water spray on the top to form saturated hot and humid air. The heat is discharged by the fan on the top, so it is called a horizontal evaporative condenser.
The hot refrigerant gas enters the condenser coil at the bottom of the unit. Cooled water from the unit basin is pumped and sprayed over the condenser coils, and ambient air is simultaneously drawn into the unit from both side of fill and coil, that is cross flow to the spraying water. With less wind resistance, the heat rejection can be increased significantly. KEH condensing process is similar to KEF type.
Typical Applications
• Installation require a single Air inlet
• Indoor installations
• Suitable for large projects
